BEAN STATION, TN. - Raymond Wilson Garland, 87, of Bean Station, TN., passed away at his residence on April 7, 2013. He was a member of Barnards Grove Baptist Church, a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army Air Corps, a Mason, lifetime member of VFW and retired from Southern Bell.
He was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, and will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Ruth Garland; children, Brenda and David Jenkins, of Bean Station, TN.; grandchildren, Debbie, John, Anna and Jeff; great-grandchildren, Patrick, Taylor, Kaitlyn, and Jacob; great-great-grandchildren, Tristin and Ava, and dearest friend, Amy.
Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. today in the chapel at Smith-Reagan Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Sledge and the Rev. Jeff Sinnamon officiating. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until 12 p.m. prior to the service. Interment will follow in Grainger Memorial Gardens.
