Robert "Bob" Wilson Paden, age 94, formerly of Hendersonville, North Carolina, went peacefully home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, with his three loving daughters by his side on Saturday, January 13, 2018.

Bob was born July 25, 1923 in Atlanta, Georgia, and was the son of the late Gertrude Albrecht Teich Paden and Robert Smith Paden. He was married for 67 years to his beloved wife, Betty Milton Paden. Bob is survived by three daughters, Nancy Paden Wright and her husband, Dr. James R. Wright, Jr. of Knoxville, TN, Lynn Paden Hutchens and her husband, Rick L. Hutchens of Elkin, NC., and Cathi Paden Clark and her husband, Alan Blake Clark of Raleigh, NC.; grandchildren, Robert James Wright and his wife, Amy of Greenville, SC., Pastor Hunter Louis Wright and his wife, Kristina of Knoxville, TN., Christopher Lee Hutchens and his wife, Christina of Beaufort, SC., Ryan Wesley Hutchens of Hamptonville, NC., Jessica Lynn Clark of New York, NY., Sean Alan Clark of Raleigh, NC.; seven great grandchildren, Mia and Garrett Wright, Alexis, Jameson and Finnegan Hutchens, Eden Hutchens and Benjamin Wright; sister Dr. Pat Paden Matsen of Columbia, SC. and many other family and friends.

Bob was a graduate in Electrical Engineering from Georgia Tech and began his career with General Electric Corporation in 1943. He was assigned to The Manhattan Project in Oak Ridge, TN., and then returned to GE in July 1944. Bob retired as Headquarters Sales Specialist from GE's Outdoor Lighting Division in Hendersonville, NC in 1985. His great love was his entire family. Just a few of his many interests and talents were worldwide travel, music, woodworking, photography, storytelling, history and family genealogy. Bob lived and loved well and will be greatly missed.

A Memorial Service will be held at Pinecrest Presbyterian Church, Hendersonville, on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at 1:00p.m. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in Bob's memory to Pinecrest Presbyterian Church, 1790 Greenville Highway, Hendersonville, NC 28792 or Ignition Church, P.O.
