Ronald Franklin Archis Obituary
Ronald Franklin Archis, age 82 of Hendersonville died Thursday, May 19th, 2016 at the Brian Center Health and Rehabilitation. He was born July 11th, 1933 in Salem, Massachusetts; a son of the late Joseph Adam and Valerie Rostkowska Archis. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Emma and Viola; and three brothers, John, Alfred, and Gus.
Mr. Archis graduated from Salem High School in Salem, M.A. and attended North Eastern University in Boston and was employed as a computer systems analyst with the Raytheon Company for over 25 years. He proudly served in the United States Navy and was a member of Grace Lutheran Church. He enjoyed singing in various choral groups and church choirs.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Marietta "Rita" Archis; one daughter, Catherine Archis; three sons, Larry Archis and wife, Cathy, Christopher Archis and wife, Christine, and Paul Archis; one step-son, Stan Searles and wife, Sharon; eight grandchildren, Jennifer, Jessica, Brian, Matthew, Nicholas, Christopher, Danielle, and Alyson; and one sister, Constance Archis. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, May 27th, 2016 at Grace Lutheran Church conducted by the Reverend Greg Williams and Reverend Ken Langsdorf.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Ronald's memory be directed to the Council on Aging at 105 King Creek Blvd. Hendersonville, NC 28792 or to Interfaith Assistance Ministry at P.O. Box 2562, Hendersonville, NC 28793.
