Rosario DiBella Obituary

MELBOURNE, FL. - Rosario (Sam) DiBella, 87, formerly of Cornelius, N.C., passed away on Easter Sunday, March 31, 2013, In Melbourne, Fla. He was surrounded by his family including his son, Bob and wife, Patti DiBella, his grandson, Jay and wife, Missy DiBella, his granddaughter, Jaimie and husband, Jason Engle and his niece, Clara DiBella. Sam is also survived by his son, Frank and wife, Cathy DiBella and two great-grandchildren, Lucas and Ezra Engle.
His wife, Marie, predeceased him in October of 2012, also of Cornelius, N.C.
Sam loved his family. He was a committed husband and father. He will be remembered as a power of example, of self-sacrifice and one who loved people.
He retired from the textile industry, where he worked his way up from the mail room to the executive suite. He was a merchant marine during World War II (he hasn't been on a ship since).
The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, at Beckman Williamson Funeral Home, 5400 Village Dr., Viera, Fla., followed by a graveside service. Hours with the family will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday evening and also from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday evening.
