Timothy Joseph Taylor Obituary
BRISTOL, T.N.-Timothy Joseph Taylor, 56, passed away Sunday, November 23, 2014 at his home in Bristol, TN.
Born July 22, 1958, Joe grew up in Hendersonville, one of four children of George and Betty Jo Taylor (nee Baldwin).
Joe was a long-time resident of North Carolina. He attended Edneyville High School then went on to serve his country in the Navy. During his life he worked as a welder, machinist and volunteer firefighter and was most recently employed by QEP.
Joe enjoyed the simple things in life. He loved the outdoors, history, music and his family. Joe was a people-person who had never met a stranger. He had a way about him that could immediately set people at ease. Part of his charm was that he was a jokester. He had a joke for every situation and could make even the most serious person laugh. He also had the unusual ability of being able to see the intrinsic value of a person; a value that was lost on most people, even the very person he saw it in. This glimpse into the life of such a man is but a drop in the ocean of why he is and will be sorely missed by his family and friends.
Joe is survived by his wife, Lisa Taylor (nee Hawkins), his parents, George and Betty Jo Taylor, his children, Renee McKinney and her husband Keith; Michael Taylor; Shane Taylor; Samuel Taylor, his grandchildren, Mikayla Taylor (15); Anna Michelle Taylor (8); Aiden McKinney (8), his siblings, Felicia Ramsey Taylor and her husband Chris; Fritz Taylor; Kip Taylor and his wife Jessie, his grandmother, Ida Baldwin (97), several uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 4:30 pm on Sunday, November 30th, 2014 at Oak Forest Baptist Church. Reverend Keith McKinney will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service.
Flowers may be sent to 3171 Fruitland Road, Hendersonville, NC 28792.
