Obituary Condolences

HENDERSONVILLE-Vincent Franklin Levi, 83, died on Sunday, January 25, 2015 in Dobson, North Carolina. He was born in Henderson County to the late Kenneth Arland Levi and Julia Louise Beddingfield. In additional to his parents he was preceded in death by his two brothers: Kenneth Marvin Levi, and David Arland Levi as well as one sister Marjorie Nadine McCall.
Vincent served in the United States Army and was stationed in Okinawa, Japan during World War II. For many years, Vince installed security systems in both commercial and residential building. When he returned back to Henderson county Vince was the man that so many relied on, he was more than willing to lend a hand. He was the "handy man" that truly cared for others. Many would say that helping people was more important to him than anything and making people smile and laugh with his jokes, some very long, gave him delight. He was of the Baptist faith and was loved and admired by many. He loved his family dearly.
He is survived by his brother Carroll L. Levi of Zirconia and his sister Glenna Louise Mason and her husband James of Inman, SC. He had numerous nieces and nephews and a very special friend Jackie Long.
The family will receive friends at 1:00 PM on Thursday, January 29, 2015 at the funeral home. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM at Thos. Shepherd's Church Street Chapel. Interment will follow at Ward's Cemetery in Zirconia.
