Bryan Chandler Obituary

SALUDA-Bryan Maurice Chandler, 75, of Saluda went to be with the Lord Thursday, August 07, 2014 at his residence.
Mr. Chandler was born November 6, 1938 in Madison County to the late Kermit Chandler and Carroll Teague Chandler. In addition to his parent, Bryan was preceded in death by a sister Linda Nodine.
He served in the US Navy and upon completion of his service was married to Fay Russell on June 13, 1958. A Marriage of 56 years. Bryan worked and retired from Century Contractors after 35 years. He was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church in Hendersonville.
He is survived by his wife Fay Chandler, four children Frankie Jones and her husband Michael of Saluda; Lynn Chandler of Mt Ulla; Earl Chandler of Saluda and Jenifer Maybin and her husband James of Tuxedo; seven grandchildren: Shane Hamilton and wife Emily of Saluda, Mitzi Gunn and husband Jamie of Gibsonville, Courtney Maybin of Tuxedo, Tiffany Orr and husband Brandon of Flat Rock, Bryan Chandler of Saluda, Lincoln Maybin and Landon Maybin both of Tuxedo; 3 great-grandchildren, Wesley Gunn, Carson Orr and Isaac Orr. He is also survived by a brother Bruce Chandler of Pauline, SC, two sisters Merle Martin of Boiling Springs and Jenny Morrow of Spartanburg, SC. His extended family includes Jack Hamilton, Soul Vision, his many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He will be missed by so many. May he rest in peace.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday at Gethsemane Baptist Church with burial to follow at Mt Page Cemetery. Soul Vision will provide special music and pallbearers will be Chuck Chandler, Jeff Chandler, Carl Chandler, Randy Martin, Steve Martin and Michael Blackwell. The family will receive friends the evening before, Saturday, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Thos. Shepherd & Son Funeral Directors.
Memorial donations may be directed to Park Ridge Home Health Services, 100 Hospital Drive, Dept. 575, Hendersonville, NC 28792.
