Sherrie Michelle Roullion Orr, 65, of Hendersonville, N.C., passed away peacefully January 18, 2013, in her home with her beloved dog, Samson, by her side.
She is the daughter of Adrien George Rouillon Sr. and Shirley May Rouillon. Born in Connecticut, she moved to Hendersonville in 1957 and has been a lifelong resident. She is preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Larry Orr, Eugene Orr, her father, Adrien Rouillon Sr., her mother Shirley May Rouillon, her mother-in-law Georgia Lee Orr Pace, and her brother Adrien Rouillon Jr.
She owned and operated Carolina Taxi & Industrial Transportation along side her late husband, Larry Orr, after the passing of her father-in-law, who had started the company in 1945. She and her late husband, Bo, loved the opportunity that their business gave them to serve so many people in Henderson County. In addition to running Carolina Taxi & Industrial Transportation, she was a wonderful loving Mother and friend to all.
Sherrie is survived by her daughter, Melonie. She also leaves behind a sister, Pamela Campbell and her husband, William Jr. of Greenville, Texas; her cousins Brian Ardron, and Ronald K. Ardron Sr., Patsy Heartman, Robert Orr; and her sister-in-law Pasty Buck. She also leaves behind many loved nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 22, 2013, at Thos. Shepherd's Church Street Chapel, with the Rev. Wally Shamburger officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the service at Shepherd Memorial Park.
