HENDERSONVILLE: Marcene Corn Jones Alger, 82, of Hendersonville, died on Friday, January 25, 2013 at Sunnybrook Assisted Living. A native and life long resident of Henderson County she was born on December 27, 1930 to the late Thurman Delmo Corn and Fannie Howell Corn. She was also preceded in death by two husbands, David N. "Dee" Jones who died in 1982; Raymond Alger who died in 2009; her son, Chat Jones who died in 2012 and her two brothers, T.D. and Harry Corn.|
She attended Dana High School and was a member of Bethel Wesleyan Church on Tracy Grove Road.
She is survived by her two sons, Gary C. Jones and his wife, Cindy, Donnie Jones and his wife, Doris; her two daughters, Diane Grant and her husband, Tom, Gail King and her husband, Steve all of Hendersonville; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; her brother, David L. Corn and his wife, Trudy; her sister, Natalia Justus and her husband, Dennis; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends in celebration of her life from 5:00PM until 7:00PM on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 in the Fellowship Building at Bethel Wesleyan Church. A private burial will take place at a later date.
