Donald "Wayne" Strange(1933-2013)

Donald 'Wayne' Strange, 79, of Boonville passed away at Cooper County Memorial Hospital on Thursday morning, April 25, 2013.
Visitation for Wayne will be held at Davis Funeral Chapel on Sunday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 o'clock, April 28th. Funeral services will be held at First Baptist Church in Boonville on at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, April 29th, 2013 with Rev. Scott Paris officiating. Burial will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery.
Donald Wayne Strange was born in Miller County, MO, August 29th, 1933, the son of Floyd Strange and Bertha Stark Strange. He was married to Marjorie Stegner Sept. 4th, 1951 as he was on his way to Korea while serving in the U.S. Air Force. Wayne was a sales rep and sales manager for various clothing manufacturers. On his retirement he managed the Lang Standard Station until his second retirement. Wayne was a member of the First Baptist Church; he was a sports fan with a special interest toward the Cardinals and Mizzou. He was an athlete in his own right and played ball with the Boonville Ban Johnson League in his younger days.
Wayne is survived by his wife, Marjorie, of the home; his children, Tammi Leimkuehler (Bill) of Marshall, MO, Sheri Mistele (Victor) of Oak Grove, MO, Lori Strange (Joe Walters) of Georgetown, KY, and Mark Strange of Boonville. His sisters, Donna Farr (Charlie) from Hawaii and Ina Faye Worth (Fred) of Lee's Summit, MO, as well as his grandchildren, Tara Leimkuehler and Scott Leimkuehler and his friend, Michaela Donahue, all of Marshall also survive.
