Franklin "Hugh" Kirschman, 99 of Prairie Home, passed away at Ashley Manor, Nov. 25, 2012. Funeral services for Hugh will be held at Thacher-Wood Funeral Home on 4th St. at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 3rd with Pastor Jeff Martin officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, from 1 p.m. until time time of service. Burial will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetary.
Hugh Kirschman was born in Prairie Home, Mo., Nov. 10, 1913, the son of Benjamin Franklin Kirschman & Alice Edith Adair Kirschman. During World War II, Hugh stayed home to help his family on the farm, while his brothers served overseas. He continued farming until he was in his early nineties. On Jan. 23rd 1954, he married Pauline Custer Irvin. They had one daughter & shared fifty golden years of marriage together.
Hugh was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, & nine siblings: an infant brother, an infant sister, Lester Kirschman, Pearl Chappell, Mabel Sands, James "Jim" Kirschman, Hattie Smith, Helen Ramsey, & Robert "Glen" Kirschman.
He is survived by his daughter, Debora "Debby" Kirschman Davis, son-in-law Paul Davis & grandchildren, Jennifer & Andrew, all of Boonville.
