Myrtle Draffen, 93, of Bunceton, passed away Sunday morning, Jan. 20th, 2013 at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia.
Funeral services for Mrs. Draffen will be held at 2:00 o'clock on Wednesday afternoon, Jan. 23, 2013 at the Pisgah Baptist Church with visitation one hour prior to the service at 1:00 o'clock . Burial will follow in the Pisgah Cemetery.
Edith Myrtle Draffen was born March 16, 1919 at Bunceton , MO , the daughter of Charles E. and Effie Lee (Stephens) Scott. She was married to Howard D. Draffen on Dec. 19, 1942 in Boonville. He preceded her in death on Mar. 27, 1995. Myrtle was a life long member of the Pisgah Baptist Church. She was a homemaker with a great love of cooking, especially baking. She had also worked for many years as a nurse aide at both St. Joseph and Cooper County Memorial Hospitals in Boonville.
Beside her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one sister, Lola Ernst and by six brothers; William P., Lewis L., Edgar D., John Henry, Robert K., and Glenn Dorsey Scott. She is survived by one son, Howard Lee Draffen and his wife, Dorothy and one grandson, Christopher Lee and his wife Melissa, all of Bunceton as well as many nieces and nephews.
