Virgil J. Chamberlin, 84, of Boonville, passed away at Cooper County Memorial Hospital on Friday evening, Jan. 18, 2013.
Visitation for Virgil will be held at Davis Funeral Chapel on Wednesday morning, Jan. 23nd from nine o'clock until time of the funeral service at ten o'clock. Burial will follow at the Bunceton Masonic Cemetery with full military honors.
Virgil Joseph Chamberlin was born Dec. 28th, 1928 in Boonville, MO , the son of Lon Chamberlin and Mabel Clair Turner Chamberlin. Virgil served in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict
. He was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ. He farmed most of his life until his recent retirement. Virgil was proud to have been a fifty year member of the IOOF- Order of Odd Fellows. His favorite thing to do was socializing with his friends at various dancing clubs around the area where he had a reputation of really being able to cut the rug.
Virgil was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Albert Lon Chamberlin. He is survived by two nephews, Albert Gale Chamberlin and Gary Lon Chamberlin
