Alice Marie Wirths, 73, of Pilot Grove passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 16, 2010 as a result of an automobile accident.
Visitation will be held at Davis Funeral Chapel on Thursday evening, Nov. 18 from 5 until 7 p.m. with the rosary being recited at 5 p.m.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Pilot Grove on Friday, Nov. 19, at 10 a.m. with Father Phil Kane officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Alice Marie Wirths was born Dec.13, 1936, the daughter of Phillip Day and Kathryn Eckerle Day. She lived in Pilot Grove her entire life and was active in community affairs as well as St. Joseph Church where she was a member of the St. Joseph Altar Society.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter, Melanie Wirths and by a brother, Jerome Day. She is survived by her children, Darrell Wirths and Carla, of Lee's Summit, Michael Wirths and Gloria of Peoria, AZ; and her daughter, Dianne Watring and husband, Steve, of Pilot Grove. Her brothers, Harold Joe Day of Pilot Grove, Kenneth Day of Columbia and Gerald Ray Day of Clearwater, FL; and sisters Delores Rachaner of Sunrise Beach and Phyllis Streit of Pilot Grove also survive.
She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Chad Wirths and his wife, Christine, of Pilot Grove and Chanda Stephens and husband Jamey of Boonville, as well as great-grandchildren, Elaina and Daylan Wirths of Pilot Grove, Brycen and Bentley Stephens of Boonville and Alex Radlauer of Glendale, Ariz., as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
