Allen O "Bud" Kircher, 85, of New Franklin passed away Thursday evening September 8, 2011 at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia.
Visitation for Bud will be Tuesday evening September 13th from 5 to 8p.m. at Davis Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be 10a.m. Wednesday, September 14th at Davis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Roger McMurry officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery in Columbia, MO.
Allen Oesch Kircher was born in Cass County, MO. January 13, 1926 the son of Leroy Kircher and Clara Oesch Kircher. He married Helen Virginia Hardin April 19, 1947 in Columbia, MO. She preceded him in death in September of 2000. Bud served in the Army during WWII and received a purple heart for his service. He was a proud farmer and this showed in his crops each year at harvest time. You could find Bud at Grotjan's Service Station at any given time playing cards and sharing stories with anyone that stopped by for fuel or tires. In his spare time you would find Bud mowing the yard or watching a St. Louis Cardinals or MU game on TV. Above all, the love for his family was important to him.
Bud was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Helen, his brother Leroy and sister Maxine Kinder. He is survived by his son, Jim Kircher and wife Pat of New Franklin, daughter, Donna Graves and husband Bob of Apache Junction, AZ. Also surviving are his sisters; Mary Alice Brown of Joplin, MO and Irene Hardin of New Franklin, MO. He also leaves behind; four grandchildren, Nick Graves of Scottsdale, AZ, Kaity Barks and husband Niels of Apache Junction, AZ, Jaime Kircher of New Franklin, Bryan Kircher of Tuscan, AZ and a great-grandson, Tucker Barks.
