Alvin E. Taylor, 66, of Boonville, passed away at University Medical Center on Monday, Sept. 23, 1013.

Visitation for Alvin will be held at Davis Funeral Chapel on Friday evening from 6:00 until 8:00o'clock. There will a private family service at the funeral home on Saturday with burial following at Walnut Grove Cemetery.
Alvin Eugene Taylor was born in Boonville, MO Sept 25, 1946 the son of Chester Allen Taylor and Linda Shipley Taylor. He graduated from Boonville High. He worked for Boben Manufactoring and McGraw Edison in Boonville for a short while and then to the City of Boonville as a water meter reader. He was known to be a hard worker, which was rewarded by being advanced to supervisor of his department until his retirement after thirty eight years. He married Dorothy Boggs April 17th, 1965 and they are the parents of two children. He was a cancer survivor for seventeen years and was cancer free at the time of death. He enjoyed restoring older automobiles, many of which were shown off in local parades. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Boonville. He was a dedicated family man who worshiped his children and grand and (great) children.
Alvin was preceded in death by a daughter, Shelia Marie Ivester and by his brothers, Roy and Raymond Taylor. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy, of the home; his daughter, Stacie Eichelberger (Ardan) of Boonville, a son-in-law, Shawn Ivester of Ironton, MO., as well as his sister, Alma Bader of Pilot Grove. There will be an empty spot in the hearts of his grandchildren; Kristopher (Brandi) Ivester of Ironton, Elllie, Benjamin and Brooke Eichelberger of Boonville and his great-grandchildren, Breanna, Hayden and Kason Ivester.
