Audrey Anne Doogan was born in Hinsdale, IL June 6, 1932, the daughter of Ralph L. VanNatta and Christine Zimmerman. She married Merle Doogan in May, 1952. They are the parents of six children. She became a member of SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church when she moved to Boonville about five years ago. She fulfilled her dream of owning her own home again at the young age of 74, with three grown children following to make a new life in a small town. She instilled a strong faith in God in her children and was involved with her extended family and enjoyed the traveling that it took to keep up with everyone. She was an artist whose favorite medium was oil painting which she exhibited and sold, but mostly gave as gifts to loved ones.
Audrey is survived by her children, Robert Doogan of Boonville, Daniel (Suzanne) of Missoula, MT., Ralph Doogan of Boonville, and James Doogan of Illinois; her daughters Linda Hebding and husband John of Willow Springs, IL, and Mary Payne and John of Boonville. Two brothers John VanNatta and his wife Barb, from the state of Maryland and Paul and Norma VanNatta from the state of Oregon also survive, as well as eleven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Memorials are suggested to the family in care of Davis Funeral Chapel, 1397 Ashley Road, Boonville, MO 65233
