Mrs. Bernice Evelyn Beck, 89 of Imperial, Missouri passed away on March 27, 2013 at her home.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 6, 2013 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Pilot Grove, Missouri. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. and Rosary will begin at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at St. John's Cemetery, Pilot Grove, Missouri under the direction of Thacher – Wood Funeral Home, Boonville, Missouri.
Bernice was born on January 11, 1924 to Herbert & Clara Knedgen Twenter in Cooper County, Missouri. She was united in marriage to Edward E. Beck on January 5, 1943 and to this union 3 children were born. Bernice was active in the Pro-Life Movement and she served as a Lay Associate of the Redemptoristine Nuns. She was employed by DePaul Hospital as a Unit Secretary until her retirement.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and 3 brothers.
She is survived by her 3 children: Edward Beck, Jr and his wife, Janet of Columbia, Illinois, her daughter; Joyce Glynn, of Spring, Texas, and Dale Beck, of Imperial, Missouri and 2 brothers, Melvin Twenter, of Moberly, Missouri and Leo Twenter, of Pilot Grove, Missouri, 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Bernice followed the advice of doing something nice today. With that thought, the family requests that in lieu of flowers you do something nice for someone today.
