Carl D. Palmer, 71, of Boonville, passed away, unexpectedly, at his home on Thursday, March 26, 2015.

Memorial services for Carl will be held at Davis Funeral Chapel at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, March, 30, with Rev. Glenna McVeigh officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Carl D. Palmer Jr. was born in Columbia, MO August 18, 1943, the son of Carl D. Palmer Sr. and Anna Marie Gramlich Palmer. Carl attended Boonville schools. He married Kathy Rieves May 31, 1964 in Boonville. He was very active in the community, in that he was a volunteer fireman for 11 years, at which time he became pumper engineer for the next 22 years, until health problems forced his retirement.
Carl was preceded in death by his parents, and his step-father, Guy Baker, as well as brothers; Donald and William Palmer. He is survived by his wife, Kathy, of the home, his son, Jeff Palmer of Columbia and his granddaughter, Alley Palmer of Boonville and two great-grandchildren, Chloe and Sylar Palmer. His sister, Judy (Jim) Bridgewater, of Fulton; sisters-in-law, Shirley Palmer and Virginia Rieves, uncle Johnny Gramlich and aunt Bernice Gramlich also survive, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Memorials are suggested to the Diabetes or Heart Foundation.
