Chris Litwiller, 83, of Boonville, passed away at his home on Monday morning, April 27, 2015.

Visitation for Mr. Litwiller will be held at Davis Funeral Chapel on Tuesday evening, April 28th from 6-8 o'clock. Funeral services will be held at the Funeral Home at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, April 29th, 2015 with Rev. Nick Campbell officiating. Burial will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery.
Christian Kenneth Litwiller was born March 21, 1932 in Hopedale, IL, the son of John W. and Anna Kauffmann Litwiller. He married Virginia Robison February 26, 1955 in Champaign IL. He was employed with State Farm Insurance for forty years, first in Bloomington, IL and in 1956 he transferred to Columbia, MO when the regional office opened. He retired in 1995. Chris enjoyed music, especially the family sing alongs. He was a loving father and a doting grandfather and great-grandfather who taught responsibility in everyday life, including safe driving habits and decency to others. He showed his family, every day, how much he loved them.
Chris was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers; Lorin, Clarence and Ben Litwiller. He is survived by Virginia, his wife, of sixty years, his children; Steve (Debbie) and Gary (Christine) Litwiller of Boonville and Jeff (Elaine) Litwiller of Douglas, WY, three grandsons; Andy, of Caracas, Venzuela, Mark (Lauren) Litwiller of Hallsville, MO and Joseph (Colleen) Litwiller of Boonville and by his granddaughter, Hannah Litwiller of Boonville, as well as one great-grandson, Oscar Litwiller of Hallsville, MO and one great-grandson that will join the family in July. Three brothers; Herb (Liz), Jim (Sandy) and Willard (Lynn) Litwiller and sisters, Lavetta Litwiller, Mary (Marlowe) Clauser and Faye (Virgil) Rosendale also survive.
In lieu of flowers the family respectfully request the memorials be directed to Nelson Memorial Methodist Church or the Thespian Hall Restoration Fund
