Connie L. Kendrick, 64, of Prairie Home passed away on Monday, September 6, 2010 at her residence. She was born May 26, 1946 in Mexico, MO the daughter of Charles Lewis and Alma (Rohrbach) Brenton, both of whom preceded her in death. She was married on November 30, 1968 at California United Church of Christ to Bobby Kendrick, who survives of the home. She was a 1964 graduate of California High School and a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. She worked as a loan processor for Tipton-Latham Bank for many years. Her life's ambition was to take care of her family and be there for all their extra activities, which included rodeos, ball games, music concerts and bowling. She is survived by one son, Martin Kendrick and wife Randi of California, MO; one daughter, Sheila Williams and husband Keith of Clarksburg, MO; one sister, Nelda Hoback of Reed Springs, MO; and four grandchildren, Tripp and Tyleigh Kendrick, and Paiton and Blayne Williams. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles Brenton, Jr. and Larry Brenton; and one sister, Norma Meyer. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 9, 2010 at 2:30 p.m. at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services in California, MO. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery north of California. Visitation will be on Wednesday, September 8, 2010 from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to either Mt. Pleasant Cemetery Fund or to the charity of donor's choice, c/o Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services, 100 S. Oak, California, MO 65018.
