David E. Klatt, 60, of Eldon and recently of Boonville, passed away at University Medical Center on Monday, Dec. 14, 2015.

Visitation for David will be held at Davis Funeral Chapel in Boonville, Saturday, Dec. 19, 2015 from noon until time of the memorial service at one o'clock.
David E. Klatt was born Nov. 30, 1955 in Boonville, Mo. the son of Troy E. Klatt and Audrey Kirschman Klatt. He graduated from Bunceton High School and his aptitude for auto mechanics led him to become certified as a Harley Davidson motorcycle mechanic. That, of course, fit in with his passion for motorcycles. Related interests were refurbishing old cars, swap meets and talking about same. He enjoyed blues music. He never met a stranger and made friends with everyone.
David was preceded in death by his parents, and an infant brother, Danny. He is survived by his son, 'T.J.' Klatt of Marshall, his long time partner and caregiver, Deb Mayfield, of the home, his sister, Agnes Kempf, of Boonville, brother, Dennis E. Klatt of Howard County, his stepchildren, Seth Hallowell, Lani O'Bryan, Thomas Arnold, Caleb Brueckner and Wyatt Breen, as well as many nieces and nephews, and countless friends.
