Donna L. Mitchell, 55, of Boonville, passed away at University Medical Center, early Monday morning, August 30, 2010.
There will be a memorial service for Donna at the Christ Church Episcopal in Boonville at 4:00 P.M. on Friday Sept. 3, 2010 with Father Bill Fasel officiating.
Donna Mitchell was born in Boonville, MO Aug. 6, 1954, the daughter of Billy Simmons and Betty Lynn Simmons. She graduated from Boonville High School in 1973. She married Dwight Mitchell in Charlotte, NC, October 10th, 2003. Donna followed in her mother's footsteps with a career in the restaurant business where she was well known and respected as a waitress, manager and owner of several restaurants in the area.
Donna was preceded in death by her mother, Betty in 2002 and a brother, David Simmons. She is survived by her husband, Dwight Mitchell of the home, her father, Billy Simmons of Boonville; and by two sons, Tim Chiles of the state of Alaska, and Rodney Dobson of Jefferson City, MO and by a daughter, Robertta Sells of Prairie Home and step daughters, Amanda Maddex, Bunceton, MO Lindsay Kilgore, of Columbia, Rebecca Lyons, Sturgeon and Scarlett Carter of Columbia. Her brother Jimmy Simmons of Prairie Home and her sister, Peggy Leonard, of Boonville, also survive as well as eight grandchildren.
Memorials are suggested to the Christ Church Episcopal.
