Earl Kenneth Cary was born June 22, 1939, at the family farm home in Boonville, Mo., the son of Earl C. Cary and Ruth Cartner Cary. He graduated from Boonville High School in 1957 and continued his education, on the job, as a successful farmer and cattleman. In his younger years he enjoyed the things that country boys enjoyed, such as coon hunting, trapping and fishing, and the company of his many friends and family. He married Paula Sanders March 13, 1987, in Columbia and she was the faithful rancher's wife who helped with every aspect of the business.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Robert 'Bobby' Dale Cary. He is survived by his wife, Paula, of the home; his son, Mark (Cammie) Cary of Boonville and daughter Brenda (John) Matchett of Syracuse, Mo.; stepchildren: David Wiser of Boonville, Mike (Jessie) Wiser of New Haven, Mo., and Teresa Thurman of Boonville. His siblings, Roy (Janice) Cary of Boonville, Carlos (Jennifer) Cary of Tipton, Mary Ann (Ralph) Hein of Boonville and Joyce Custer of Bunceton, also survive. His grandchildren: Steven and Mason Cary, Ashley (Matt) Coons, Jeremiah (Tiffanie) Matchett, Tanya (Mike) Aldridge, Cole, Michael and Luke Wiser also survive, as well as great-grandchildren, Carter Matchett and Addy and Dylan Aldridge.
