Edgar Frieling, 86 of Boonville passed away at Meyer Care Center in Higginsville, MO on Friday, April 6, 2012.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8pm Monday, April 9, 2012 at Davis Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be 10am Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at Immanuel Lutheran Church. Burial will follow in the Walnut Grove Cemetery.
Edgar John Frieling was born in rural Boonville, MO on August 4, 1925 the son of Chris and Emilie Vieth Frieling. He graduated from Boonville High School. He married Norma Lee Kramer on November 10, 1962 and they are the parents of two children. Edgar worked for Davisdale Farms and the Davis family for over 50 years, farming, setting up irrigation systems and as a port foreman at Interstate Marine Terminal retiring in September 2006 at the age of 81. He enjoyed gardening and spending time with his three grandchildren.
Edgar was preceded in death by his parents, wife Norma, sister Helen Wilcox, brothers Herman and John Frieling. He is survived by his children Beth (Brent) Schlotzhauer of Higginsville, MO and Keith (Amy) Frieling of Carthage, MO and one sister, Edna Jensen of Tampa, FL. Also surviving are three grandchildren.
