Edward "Dub" Leach, age 83, of rural New Franklin, passed away February 26, 2010 at his home.

Edward William Leach was born September 2, 1926 in?Moberly the son of Timothy Foster Leach and Olita Irene (Naylor) Leach. He married Lottie Agnew on December 11, 1946 in Ottawa KS. She survives at the family home.
Mr. Leach was a World War II U.S. Army veteran serving in the South Pacific. He was awarded the Aquatic-Pacific Theatre Ribbon, Victory Medal and Good Conduct Medal. He was a member of the New Franklin Christian Church. For many years, he was the owner and operator of the Stock & Thoma Machine Shop in Boonville.
In addition to his wife, Lottie, survivors include two sons, Ben and Terry Leach, both of New Franklin, five grandchildren, Chris, Eric Felicia, Mollie and Dakota Leach and four great grandchildren, Ella, Emma, Aidan and Cameron Leach. A?daughter-in-law, Connie Leach of New Franklin also survives him.
His parents and an infant sister, Naomi Leach, preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 3 at Markland-Yager Funeral Home in New Franklin. Burial with military honors will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in New Franklin. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home.
