Eleta Louise Eichhorn, 90, formerly of Pilot Grove, passed away Saturday, December 14, 2013 at her daughter's home in Bloomington, IL.

She was born December 20, 1922 in Mayview, MO to Alfred Willard and Elberta (Stockton) Shier. She married Glen Harold Waldemar Eichhorn on June 3, 1945, who survives of the home. Happily married for 68 years, they lived on a farm near Pilot Grove. She was a homemaker with a true servant's heart. She was a member of the Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church in Pilot Grove.
She is survived by her husband, two daughters-Sharan (Art) Schnuck of Boonville; Darlene (Larry) Stegner of Bloomington, IL; seven grandchildren-Andrea (Keith) Reuter of Pilot Grove; Chris (Katie)
Stegner of Quincy, IL; Art Schnuck of Boonville; Henry Schnuck of Prairie Home; Jonathan (Jenna) Stegner of Springfield, IL; Glenda Schnuck of Boonville; and Kati Stegner of Bloomington, IL; five great grandchildren-Garrett and Keaton Reuter; Ashlyn Schnuck; and Alex and Abby Stegner. She is also survived by two brothers-Eugene Shier of Higginsville and Lawrence Shier of Mayview; and two sisters-Josephine McCullough of Higginsville and Lois Heiple of Independence.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and two brothers.
Funeral services for Eleta Eichhorn will be 10:30 AM, Saturday December 21, 2013 at the Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church. Burial will be in the Wesley Chapel Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 9:30 AM until time of the service on Saturday.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Meisenheimer Funeral Home in Pilot Grove.
