Emma J. Griffin, 92, of rural Howard County and more recently of Fayette, passed away at University Medical Center in Columbia on Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2014.

Funeral services for Emma will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, Oct. 25 at Davis Funeral Chapel in Boonville with pastor Jamie Paige officiating. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at 10:00 o'clock. Burial will follow at Sulphur Springs Cemetery.
Emma J. Griffin was born Feb. 14, 1922, the daughter of Walter R. Hundley Sr. and Margaret G. Larimore. She married William Harry Griffin June 30, 1941 in California, MO and they are the parents of eight children. Emma was a homemaker and farmer's wife who worked hard raising her family. She liked to garden and cooking, which helped feed the family, she enjoyed her flowers and working cross word puzzles.
Emma was preceded in death her husband in March of 2014. She was also preceded in death by her son, Harry Wayne Griffin, and daughters, Linda Griffin and Darlene Salmon, as well as one grandson, David Martin and granddaughter, Kahree Griffin and son-in-law, Howard Brewster as well as by her brothers, Romie Hundley and Walter Hundley Jr and her sisters, Kathrerine Terhune and Louise Kent. She is survived by her daughters, Carol Brewster, of Warsaw, MO, Debbie Lessley (Mike) of Boonville, Sylvia Chew of Fayette, Pat Morrison (F.L.) of Centerview, MO, and by her son, John 'J.B.' Griffin of Fayette as well as her sister, Rosie Pulley of Independence, MO. She is also survived by twenty grandchildren, thirty three great-grandchildren and eleven great-great- grandchildren.
