Emogene (Jeanne) Wessing, 85, of Clear Creek, MO passed away on Sunday October 5, 2014 at Katy Manor Nursing Home in Pilot Grove. She was born on December 19, 1928 in Clifton City, MO daughter of Lester and Josephine (Altermott) Stone. She was married on June 29, 1953 to Henry Wessing of Clear Creek, MO.
She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, homemaker and a devout Catholic. She was a farmer's wife working alongside her husband in the daily farm operation, as well as running the former Clear Creek Store. She enjoyed cooking, playing cards, sewing and telling stories. Jeanne always loved visiting with family and friends.
She is survived by her husband Henry; two sons, Frank Wessing of Bunceton, MO and Jeff Wessing (Lori) of Pilot Grove; a daughter, Beverly Imhoff (John Jr.) of Blackwater, MO; two brothers, Jack Stone (Jo) and Bob Stone (Virginia) of Otterville, MO; a sister, Mary Lee Sneider of Wichita, KS; four sister-in-laws, Lucille Stone, Rita Stone, Lois Stone and Dottie Hoff; five grandchildren, Nick Imhoff (Traci), Adam Imhoff (Amy), Whitney Wessing, Alyson Wessing, and Layne Wessing; 6 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a grandson, Kyle Imhoff; four brothers, Bud Stone, Tom Stone, Jim Stone and an infant; also a sister, Beaulah Todd.
Mass of Christian burial will be on Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Pilot Grove. Officiating will be Father Phil Kane. Burial will be at St. John Catholic Cemetery in Clear Creek. A Rosary service will be on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at the Church starting at 5:00 P.M. Visitation will be on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Pilot Grove from 5:30-7:30 P.M. Memorials are suggested to the St. Joseph's Catholic Church c/o the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Meisenheimer Funeral Home, Pilot Grove, MO.
