Fayette resident, Marilyn Linhart passed away August 2, 2016 at the Fayette Caring Center. She was 81 years of age, four days short of 82.

Ethel Marilyn Linhart was born August 6, 1934 in Boonesboro, Mo. to Estill and Fern (Baker) Dodson. She was a graduate of New Franklin High School. She married Richard Keith "Slick" Linhart June 25, 1955 at the Boonesboro Christian Church and he preceded her in death February 10, 1998.
Marilyn worked as a legal secretary for W.D. Settle, and then worked as an administrative secretary for Fayette Public Schools. She also worked as a medical secretary for Fayette Medical Clinic and Dr. Hope Tinker's office for a number of years. She was a member of the Fayette First Christian Church.
Survivors include one son, Dale (Margie) Linhart of Fayette, one daughter, Jackie Henderson of Northwest, Ark., eight grandchildren, Keelan Henderson, Stacey Huck, Mechelle Chaney, Courtney Linhart, Bob Bradford, Rebecca Bradford, Brad Bradford and Jake Hendrix, 11 great grandchildren, Delilah, Jimmy, Page, Justice, Austin, Celissa, Cailyn, Hayden, Molly, Beckham and Aerix, one brother, Jim Dodson of Columbia and one sister, Juanita Ryan of Prairie Village, Kan. Besides her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one sister, Etta Ruth Rudloff and a great granddaughter, Journey Jones.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Thursday, August 4, 2016 at the Fayette First Christian Church with Pastor Paula Ritchie officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, 1-2 p.m. Burial will be held at Walnut Ridge Cemetery.
