Fay Woodean Brown Welliver, 73, of Boonville, died Tuesday, July 27, 2010, at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia, Mo. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 30 at Davis Funeral Chapel in Boonville. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 31 at Walnut Grove Cemetery.
Mrs. Welliver was born November 18, 1936, in Lincoln, Mo., the oldest daughter of Sherman and Goldie Robinson Brown and was raised in Cole Camp, Mo. On March 2, 1954, she married John Robert "Bob" Welliver of Sedalia, Mo., and he survives. Together they owned and operated Welliver's Drive-In on Main Street in Boonville for many years. After leaving the restaurant business, Mrs. Welliver enjoyed caring for her grandchildren, flower gardening, bird watching, cooking and baking, following the news and visiting with family and friends.
In addition to her husband, she is also survived by two sons, Bobby Welliver and wife Arlene and Roger Welliver and wife Jeana, all of Boonville; one daughter, Diane Schnetzler and husband Hal of Bartlett, Tenn.; eleven grandchildren, Bobby Welliver and wife Tamara of Ballwin, Mo., FayAnne Silvey of Sedalia, Mo., Amanda Welliver of Columbia, Mo., Pamela Klusmeyer of Memphis, Tenn., Rob Welliver of Boonville, Steven Welliver of San Francisco, Calif., Matthew Klusmeyer and Emily Klusmeyer of Bartlett, Tenn., Caitlyn Welliver of Boonville, and Tanner Schnetzler and Taylor Schnetzler of Bartlett, Tenn.; two great-grandsons, Cayden Welliver of Ballwin, Mo., and Carson Welliver of Columbia, Mo.; one sister, Rose Higdon of Loveland, Colo.; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two daughters, Cyndy Silvey and Pamela Welliver; and one brother, Marvin Brown.
