A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2011 at 11 am at Hopewell Cemetary, Tipton, MO with the Reverend Roy McMurray officiating. A dinner will follow the service at New Franklin Community Building, New Franklin, MO.
Floyd had suffered for several years with Frontotemporal Lobar Degeneration.
He had been a pipefitter and welder all his life. He belonged to Local Union 798 out of Tulsa, OK and while still in High School he had owned the slot car racing center on the corner of Main and Morgan in Boonville.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Sue Batchelor of Boonville, MO and two brothers, John Batchelor of Watertown, NY and Sammy Ray Batchelor of Corsicana, TX.
He was survived by his wife Connie Browning Batchelor of Columbia, MO, two sons, Robert Batchelor of Ohio and Brent Bachelor of Iowa, three step daughters, Lisa Dickenson of Columbia, MO, Lisa Ross of Moberly, MO, Angie Lenz of ?Boonville, MO, 2 sisters Barbara Wilcox of New Haven, NY?and Elaine Seavers of Boonville, MO, several grandchildren and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
