Freddie L. McCreery, 68, of Boonville, passed away at Cooper County Memorial Hospital on Sunday, Feb. 27.
Visitation for Freddie will be at Davis Funeral Chapel, in Boonville, on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be at the Riverside Christian Church on Thursday at 2 p.m. with Rev. David Mackey officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in New Franklin with full Military Honors.
Freddie Lee McCreery was born in Boulder, Colorado Dec. 19, 1942, the son of Ralph McCreery and Lorene Lepper McCreery. He married Donna Nickerson, March 13, 1963, in Huntsville, Mo., and they are the parents of three children. He served his country in the U.S. Army for four years. Freddie was employed by Boone Distributing Co. as a truck driver, for many years, until his retirement. Freddie and his brothers were accomplished musicians and were well known for their 'old time country music'. He was an avid fan of NASCAR, enjoyed fishing and worshiped his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Donna, of the home, his son Frankie McCreery, two daughters, Connie Sue Fryar and Patricia Schull, all of Boonville. His grandchildren; Belinda Elliot, Tina Hazlett, Steven, Cassandra and Brandon McCreery, Dustin Schull, Jessica and Brandi Fryar, Stephanie Davis, Dustin Murdock and great-grandchildren, Aleesha, Kristopher, McKenzie, Alexander, Austin, Cameron, Dylan, BreAunna and Ava will miss him very much. He is also survived by his brothers, Donnie, Wayne and Larry McCreery and David and Frankie Wilson, all of Moberly; and four sisters, Barbara Dubree of Moberly, Brenda Scrogin of Columbia and Kay and Gay McCreery of Moberly.
Memorials are suggested to the family in care of Davis Funeral Chapel.
