Georgia "Peg" Taylor Wilkerson, 84, of Boonville, Mo., passed away Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at her home. Visitation will be held Friday, March 5, 2010 at William Wood Funeral Home from 6-8 PM. Funeral Services will be held 1:00 PM on Saturday, March 6, 2010 at the Santa Fe Trail Baptist Church, 17752 Boonslick Road, Boonville, Mo. with Rev. Harold Ray McNeal and Pastor Tom Brack officiating. Interment will be in the Walnut Grove Cemetery in Boonville.

Mrs. Wilkerson was born July 25, 1925 in Cooper County, Mo., the daughter of Robert E. Taylor and Vinita Anderson Taylor, both of whom preceded her in death. Georgia was a 1941 graduate of Boonville High School and graduated from business school in Liberty, Mo. She worked as an Administrative Assistant for Boonville High School and Central Methodist College. She married Jerry Wilkerson on June 15, 1968 in Boonville. He preceded her in death on April 25, 1996. Georgia was a member of the Santa Fe Trail Baptist Church where she served as organist and was the church clerk. She was a former member of the Rebekah Lodge.
Georgia is survived by: three nephews Ralph "RD" Taylor with his wife Cindy of Lees Summit, Robert G. Taylor, Jr. with his wife Becky of Greenville, NC and Mickey Taylor with his wife Mary of McKinney, TX; one niece Peggy Quisenberry with her husband Richard of Columbia, Mo.; eight great nieces and nephews and 10 great nieces and nephews.
Georgia was also preceded in death by: two brothers Robert Gentry and Ralph Taylor; and sister-in-law Hazel Turley and husband Lester H. Turley of New Franklin, Mo.
