Geraldine M. Ashpaugh, 90, of Boonville passed away peacefully Tuesday evening August 2 at Cooper County Memorial Hospital surrounded by her family.

Visitation for Geraldine will be 1-2 p.m. Friday, August 5 at Davis Funeral Chapel with funeral services following at 2 p.m. Burial will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery.
Geraldine Margaret Ashpaugh was born in Dunklin, Mo., the daughter of Walter Lang and Francis Horst Lang. She graduated from Pilot Grove High School. She married Jack Ashpaugh on January 31, 1948 at S.S. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Boonville and was still a faithful member of the church. Geraldine worked at Sewlyn Shoe Factory and Toastmaster where she retired after 35 years. She helped her husband Jack on the family farm when needed and loved to watch her flower beds and garden grow. She loved to watch birds of any kind. Most of all her family was her utmost love, she enjoyed going to Pizza Hut and eating with her grandkids.
Geraldine was preceded in death by her husband, Jack; son, Jay; brother; Bob Lang and sister, Mildred Krause. She is survived by her daughter, Cathy Nickerson and husband Larry of Boonville. A sister, Irene Downs of Belton, Mo. She will be dearly missed by her grandchildren; Larry Wayne Nickerson of Bellville, Ill. And Kimberly Ann Wilson and husband Eddie of Boonville and her great-grandchildren, Britni Wilson, Hunter Wilson and Logan Nickerson.
