Harold H. Kerr, Sr., age 80, of New Franklin, passed away June 13, 2012 at Lakeview Healthcare in Boonville where he had resided for over a year.

Mr. Kerr was born April 15, 1932 in Lincoln, Kansas to John Henry and Nellie Jane Dickerson Kerr. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict and was a retired hospital security guard having been employed with Cooper County Memorial Hospital and at hospitals in Denver, Colorado.
Survivors include a son, Harold Henry Kerr, II of New Franklin; a daughter, Mary Ellen Kerr and husband, Darren Totten of Rocheport; a brother, Floyd B. Kerr of Lakewood, Colorado and two grandchildren, Morgan and Alexander Kerr-Totten.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his former wife, Opal Longmore Kerr; three brothers, William B., James E. and Malcolm D. Kerr; and an infant sister, Wilma Mae Kerr.
Services will be at 1 p.m., Monday, June 18, at Markland-YagerFuneral Home in New Franklin. Visitation will be Sunday evening from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Burial with military honors will be at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville.
