Mrs. Helen Frances (Tot) Hill, 100 of Boonville passed away on Monday, November 4, 2013 at Lakeview Rehabilitation & Care Center.
Funeral services will b at 10:30 am on Thursday, November 7, 2013 at Nelson United Methodist Church, Boonville, MO. Burial will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at William Wood Funeral Home, 517 Fourth Street, Boonville, MO.
Helen was born on Monday, June 30, 1913 in Fayette, MO to Jesse & Ada Fugate Lusby. She was united in marriage to Harold S. Hill on Saturday, June 28, 1941 in Fayette, MO and to this union 3 children were born. Helen was employed in a shoe factory many years ago. In her 80's she was known to still climb a 20' ladder to trim the tree and clean out the gutters. Helen was a very good seamstress and at the age of 92 was still taking in ironing and doing alteration work. She kept a large garden, did lots of canning and ran the tiller herself! Helen was a member of Nelson United Methodist Church for over 60 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, their son, Stanny, and infant daughter, Jane Diane, her sisters, Christine Anderson, Lillian Kirby & Norma Lee Miller and 2 brothers, JW Lusby & Harold Richard Lusby.
She is survived by her son, Harold W. Hill and his wife, Tracie, of Washington, MO, a sister, Delilah Hutchonson, of Fayette, MO, a cousin, Betty Humphreys, of Boonville, MO, 3 grandchildren, Timothy Hill and his wife, Michelle, Cassandra Elder and her husband, Flip and Chad Hill, 3 great-grandchildren, Ryan Hill, Zachary Hill and Allie Elder and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family requests that memorial donations be made to either Nelson United Methodist Church Outreach or Hospice Compassus.
