James Earl Perry (1939 - 2013)


Earl Perry, 73, of Boonville slept into the arms of Jesus on June 28, 2013 at his home surrounded by his family. Funeral services will be held Saturday July 6, 2013 at 11 am at Morgan Street Baptist Church in Boonville, MO. The visitation will be held Friday July 5, 2013 from 6-8 pm at HT May & Son Funeral Home in Boonville.
James Earl Perry was born in Blackwater, Mo. on July 11, 1939 to Daniel and Viola (Lewis) Perry. Earl was one of sixteen children. At an early age, he became a member of Bethal Freewill Baptist Church and later in life became a faithful member of New Life in Christ Ministries until his passing. He attended grade school in Blackwater and High School in Pilot Grove. He later joined the U.S. Air Force.
Earl was united in marriage to Delores Maxine Quint on December 28, 1960. To this union, they had 13 children. He was very compassionate about his family. He taught them that no matter what trial or tribulation they encountered, they had to stick together.
Earl was a hard working man who worked for Lammers Elevator, and National By Products. He then started his trucking career at Gencon and retired from Potter Transportation. His retirement was short as he returned to Potter's part-time until the time of his death.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife of 52 years, Maxine Perry and his children, Joetta, Charles, William, Earnest (Brenda), Marcella (Edwin), James Earl (Thelma), Antonio (Dalerie), Steven (Tammy), Luana (Glenwood), Linda, Barbara (Melvin), Georgia, Tylynn (Schirldia) and Edna. He adored his 53 grandchildren, 77 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren. His brother George Perry and his sisters Mary Perry, Martha (Billy) Vincent, Sebilia (Corneleus) Black, and Betty Finley.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 6 brothers, and 5 sisters.
