A funeral mass for Mr. James "Jim" Edward Edwards III, 63, of Coke, Texas, was held at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with Father Victor Hernandez officiating.

Mr. Edwards died on Tuesday, May 17, in Winnsboro, Texas.
He married Nancy Huckabay on Jan. 16, 2002, in College Station, who survives.
Survivors also include his son, Clark Edwards, of Houston; daughter and son-in-law, Brooke and John Weidig, Houston; stepson, Joel Jaeger, Coke community; step daughter, Julie Jaeger, Damascus, Md.; sister, Helen Edwards, Silver Spring, Md.; grandsons, John Weidig, Price Weidig, Alex Shilling; and granddaughter, Makayla Shilling. Also surviving are his mother-in-law, Lorene Wolfe, brother-in-law, James (Cheryl) Huckabay, Pilot Grove, Mo., sisters-in-law, Wanda (Gene) Brechler, Paducah, Ky., and Marcia (Bob) Bryant of Carrollton, Mo.
He was born Nov. 15, 1947, in Dallas to Hartwell Price and Margaret Antonia Johnson Edwards.
A member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, he was a graduate of the University of Alabama and a member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity. He also owned and operated Edwards Bluebonnet Farms.
Pallbearers were Isaac Ibrahim, Paul Doughtery, John Hodnett, Bobby Heid, Trip Matthews, Nevin St. Romain and Walt Johnson.
Honorary pallbearers were John Weidig, Joel Jaeger, Clark Edwards and M. Bixby Cooper.
