James K. Hall, 79, of Boonville, passed away at Boone Hospital Center on Friday, Jan. 15, 2016.
Visitation for Jim will be held at Davis Funeral Chapel for two hours prior to a memorial service at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2016.
James Keith Hall was born in Keosauqua, Iowa, July 2, 1936, the son of Edward Keith 'Pete' Hall and Sara Cynthia Hohl. Jim graduated from Bunceton High School in 1954 and from Missouri State Teachers College in Warrensburg in 1958. He married Bonnie Dell (Doudna) on January 6, 1960 in Camdenton, Mo. He was a partner in Hall & Riley Quarries until his retirement in 2000. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge Cooper #36 and Ararat Shriners of Kansas City for over 50 years. He was also a member and past president of the Missouri Limestone Producers Association and he was a veteran serving with the Missouri National Guard for many years. He was very active in his community and supported numerous organizations. His greatest passions were his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, boating at the Lake of the Ozarks and traveling with the love of his life, his wife B.D.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Bonnie, of 52 years. He is survived by his children, Jerry 'Bear' Hall and wife Kaycie and Jamie J. Hall, all of Boonville. He will be missed by his loving grandchildren: Caycee (Brandon) Hodges of Pilot Grove, Caitlynd (Ryan) Weekley of Blackwater, Dalton (Jordyn) Hall, who is stationed at Hurlburt Air Force Base in Florida, and Gavin (Anna) Hall of Lenexa, Kans., as well as his great-grandchildren; Colton Joseph and Garrett John Hodges, Zechariah Andrew Weekley and Elllie Quinn and Avery Dell Hall.
Memorials are suggested to Missouri Limestone Producers Association or the Masonic Lodge #36.
