Jerry D. Wiser, 76, of Boonville, passed away at his home on Saturday, May19, 2012 surrounded by family and friends.
Visitation for Jerry will be Monday evening at Davis Funeral Chapel from 6 to 8 PM. Funeral services will be held at Davis Chapel at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, May 22, 2012 with Rev. Randy Richards officiating. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery at Jamestown, MO with full military honors.
Jerry Dean Wiser was born in Lupus, MO, Feb. 22, 1936, the son of Lionel Wiser and Ethel Brizendine Wiser. He married Martha Goode April 26, 1968 in Boonville. Jerry was a mechanic his entire adult career and had worked for himself and several other business' in the area. He was an outdoorsman who hunted and fished whenever he could find the time, he enjoyed NASCAR and making things for his children and grandchildren, whom he was very close to.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Dean Wiser and brothers, Ray and Larry Wiser. He is survived by his wife, Martha, of the home, his children, Sandra DeWitt and fiancé, John Larsen of Blue Springs, MO and Paul Wiser (Amy) of Boonville. His brothers, Roy Wiser of Wooldridge, MO, Ricky Wiser, Of Rogers, AK, Linn 'Tex' Wiser from Oklahoma; his sisters, Emily Peterman of Fulton, MO, Pat Delius, of Boonville, Debbie Serck and Joyce Ellis of Boonville and Sherry Martin from Iowa, also survive. His grandchildren, Jesse DeWitt, Cami, William, Samuel and Andrew Wiser also survive.
Memorials are suggested to the family in care of Davis Funeral Chapel.
