John H. Scott, 94, passed away April 30, in Lee's Summit, Missouri.

Visitation will be held May 3 from 1-2 p.m. at the Bunceton Baptist Church. Service will follow at 2 p.m. with a graveside service immediately following in the Bunceton Masonic Cemetery.
John was born Sept. 10, 1916, near Bunceton, Missouri to Charles and Effie Stephens Scott. He married Martha Beall Filler on Aug. 27, 1950.
John was a member and deacon of the Bunceton Baptist Church, and also a Sunday school teacher for many years. John served as postmaster and rural mail carrier in Bunceton, Missouri for 28 years. He was a member of Wallace Masonic Lodge 456, as well as a member of the Bunceton American Legion post 415. He served four years in the US Army, serving in World War II.
Survivors include two daughters, Charlotte Feller (Brad) of Little Rock, Arkansas, Martha Scott of Kansas City, Missouri; two sons, Charles Scott (Teresa) of Blue Springs, Missouri, Paul Scott of Catonsville, Maryland; one sister Myrtle Draffen of Bunceton, Missouri; four grandchildren, Kelley, Libby, Brian and Emily; preceded in death are his parents and wife Martha Scott, five brothers, Lewis, Edgar, William, Robert and Glen Dorsey; one sister Lola Ernst.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bunceton Baptist Church or Grace Hospice.
