John Robert "Bob" Welliver, Sr., 78, of Boonville, died Monday, Nov. 25, 2013 at Cooper County Memorial Hospital. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 29 at Davis Funeral Chapel in Boonville. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 30 at Walnut Grove Cemetery.
Mr. Welliver was born September 15, 1935, the son of Robert Henry and Rose Mary Alt Welliver of Spring Fork, Mo. He graduated from Sacred Heart School in Sedalia, Mo. On March 2, 1954, he married Fay Woodean Brown Welliver of Cole Camp, Mo.; she preceded him in death in July 2010. Together, they owned and operated Welliver's Drive-In on Main Street in Boonville for many years.
He is survived by two sons, Bobby Welliver and wife Arlene and Roger Welliver and wife Jeana, all of Boonville; one daughter, Diane Schnetzler and husband Hal of Bartlett, Tenn.; eleven grandchildren, Bobby Welliver and wife Tamara of Ballwin, Mo., FayAnne Silvey of Boonville, Amanda Welliver of Columbia, Mo., Pamela Klusmeyer of Memphis, Tenn., Rob Welliver of Boonville, Steven Welliver of Los Angeles, Calif., Matthew Klusmeyer of Boonville, Emily Klusmeyer of Memphis, Caitlyn Welliver of St. Joseph, Mo., and Tanner Schnetzler and Taylor Schnetzler of Bartlett, Tenn.; two great-grandsons, Cayden Welliver of Ballwin, Mo., and Carson Welliver of Columbia, Mo.; two great-granddaughters, Cora Welliver and Celeste Welliver of Ballwin, Mo.; one brother, Don Welliver of Riverside, Mo.; two sisters, Mary Jo McMullen of LaMonte, Mo., and Betty Rouchka of Carmel, N.Y.; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; two daughters, Cyndy Silvey and Pamela Welliver; two brothers, Tommy Welliver and Joe Welliver; two sisters, Marguerite Welliver and Anna Mae Dick.
