John William "Bill" Moore, 81 of Boonville passed away Thursday morning March 25 at Boone Hospital Center.

Visitation for Bill will be 6 to 8p.m. Tuesday, March 30 at Davis Funeral Chapel with a Masonic Service at 7:30p.m. Memorial services will be 11a.m. Wednesday, March 31 at Evangelical United Church of Christ with Pastor Judy Fiocco officiating. Burial will be held Wednesday afternoon at the State Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville, MO.
Bill was born May 7, 1928 the son of Claude Taylor Moore and Laura Amelia Huffendick Moore in California, MO. He served his country in the Army during the Korean War where he received a Purple Heart. He worked at Angelo printing company as an offset printer for many years. After his retirement he worked at Boonville IGA as a carryout as he enjoyed meeting and talking to people. He loved the outdoors as he liked to hunt and fish. He was a faithful member of the Evangelical United Church of Christ here in Boonville where he served on the church council, ushered and a member of Men's Fellowship. Also he was member of the Cooper Lodge 36.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by three daughters, Shary Auer and husband Art of Columbia, MO., Christy Barbee of Memphis, TN. and Julie Zech of the state of California. Two sons, Eric Eller of the state of Iowa and Justin Eller of the state of Virginia. Two sisters, Claudette Rodgers and husband Jimmy of Houston, TX. And La Rae Cook of Shreveport, LA. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, Trisha, Caleb and Mariah Emme, Elizabeth and Joshua Eller and Keenan and Macy Zech. Three Nephews and two nieces also survive.
