Karl Frederick Althauser was born July 30, 1913 in Upper Sandusky, Ohio and departed this life on February 13, 2010 at the Lee's Summit Medical Center in Lee's Summit, Missouri, at the age of 96 years, 6 months and 14 days. He was the son of William and Emma (McClain) Althauser. Karl spent his younger years in Upper Sandusky, Ohio and graduated Upper Sandusky High School.

On November 3, 1935 Karl was united in marriage with Jennie Margaret Bacon in Sycamore, Ohio and to this union 3 sons, Donald Karl, Nicholas James (Nick) and Timothy, were born.
Karl and Jennie lived in Boonville, Missouri for many years where Karl served as a city council member and was a member of the Masonic Lodge and a member of the United Methodist Church. He had been a personnel and purchasing manager for the Mcgraw Edison Company, retiring in 1983. Karl had been a resident of Pleasant Hill since 2003, residing with his son and daughter-in-law, Nick and Debbie Althauser.
He was preceded in death by his wife; Jennie Margaret (Bacon) Althauser, his parents; William and Emma Althauser, son; Timothy Althauser, brother; Ray Althauser, 2 sisters; Alice Christman and Dorothy Althauser.
Karl is survived by: 2 sons; Donald Karl Althauser of Hermann, MO, Nicholas James (Nick) Althauser of Pleasant Hill, MO and 1 sister; Ruby Beman of Phoenix, AZ. 7 Grandchildren, 7 Great Grandchildren, other relatives and many, many friends.
