Lillian Allen Coleman, age 86, formerly of New Franklin, passed away October 15, 2010 at Cooper County Memorial Hospital in Boonville. She had resided at Katy Manor in Pilot Grove.

Lillian Allen was born October 21, 1923 in Franklin, Missouri to Daniel and Margaret Wyatt Allen. She married William L. Coleman on October 5, 1974 and he preceded her in death.
Prior to retirement, Mrs. Coleman was employed as a PBX Operator for Katy Railroad in Franklin, MO; St Joseph Hospital and the Missouri Training School for Boys both in Boonville, MO. She was a member of the New Franklin Christian Church and the Rebecca Lodge.
Survivors include a daughter, Delores Meder and husband Daniel of Liberty, MO; a sister, Betty Thomas of Fayette, MO; granddaughters, Samantha Meder of Kearney, MO and Erin Johnson and husband Christopher of Kansas City, KS; grandson, Anthony Ballew of New Franklin; a great grandson, Payton Barnett of Kearney, MO; a great granddaughter, Irena Danielle Johnson of Kansas City, KS; a brother-in-law, Willis Ballew of Lewisburg, PA and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband William Coleman; a son, Randall Ballew; granddaughter, Karianna Ballew; her father, Daniel Allen; step-father, E.C. Voelkel; mother, Margaret Voelkel; sister, Dorothy Fisher; and an aunt, Edna Wyatt.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at Markland-Yager Funeral Home in New Franklin with Rev. Cliff Caton officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
Burial will be at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in New Franklin.
