Mac L. Evans, of Boonville, passed away Friday, October 11, 2013.

A Celebration of Mac's life will be held, Friday, October 18, 2pm at Memorial Funeral Home.
A Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 5-8 at the funeral home.
Mac was born December 26 1935 to Roy and Ethel Evans in New Franklin, Mo.
He graduated from New Franklin High and Stephens Trade School in Kansas City.
He began his career with the at the University of Missouri in 1956.
He worked with Dr. Hugh Stevens to build the University's first Heart/Lung Machine.
In 1966 Mac transferred to the MU Research Reactor where he retired in 1986.
Mac married Bettie Rapp in 1955 and 3 children were born. In 1981, he married Joyce Smith and they enjoyed 32 years together.
Mac enjoyed the outdoors, hunting with his coon dogs and later raising and racing throughbred horses.
Mac was proud of the fact that he was able build homes for Joyce and his children.
He and Joyce enjoyed several years of touring the United States and later became "Snowbirds" for 15 years.
His family was his "life" and he enjoyed his children and his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce, children, Pam McCoy (Craig), Missy Blumer (Richard), Jud Evans (JoAnna), stepchildren Darry Smith (Ana), Shelly Cunningham (Walt), 11 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and sister, Peggy Franklin.
He was preceeded in death by his parents and a sister, JoAnn Dueschele.
Mac appreciated the work being done at Coyote Hills Christian Children's Home in Harrisburg, MO.
In lieu of flowers the family request memorial contributions be made in Mac's memory to Coyote Hills.
