Marceline Naomi Brizendine McCoy, 76, of Pilot Grove, MO died Thursday, April 1, 2010 at Katy Manor Nursing Home in Pilot Grove. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, April 10, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Katy Manor with Rev. Paul Weisenborn officiating.

Marceline was born on August 11, 1933, in Lupus, MO, the daughter of Newton Franklin and Amelia Katherine Berger Brizendine. She graduated from Bunceton High School and was of the Baptist faith. She was married to Willard Lindsey McCoy on July 30, 1954. They lived in Kansas City for several years, where their sons, Gregory and Scott, were born and raised. Marceline worked for Hallmark Cards as an Executive Secretary and later as a Unit Clerk for the North Kansas City Hospital. Marceline and Willard moved from Kansas City back to their hometown of Bunceton in 1986. She was preceded in death by her parents, by her son, Scott A. McCoy, in 2000, and by her husband Willard in 2003. Since 2003, she was a resident at Katy Manor.
Survivors include her son, Gregory L. McCoy, with his wife Mary, of Independence, MO; one daughter-in-law, Tena K. McCoy of Liberty, MO; two sisters, Catherine E. Vanderhoof, with her husband Alvin, of Boonville, MO, and Bonnie R. Seifert, with her husband Lloyd, of Fort Scott, KS; two brothers, J. Wesley Brizendine, with his wife Genevieve, of Springfield, MO, and Wayne Franklin Brizendine of Alton, IL; two grandsons, Scott A. McCoy, Jr. of Independence, MO and Shawn A. McCoy of Liberty, MO; and several nieces and nephews.
