Margaret Earles, 97, of Glasgow, passed away at Golden Living Center in Glasgow on Sunday, March 10, 2013.
Funeral services for Margaret will be held at Davis Funeral Chapel, in Boonville, on Thursday, March 14, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. with Brent Earles officiating. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at 10:00 o'clock. Burial will follow at the Harris City Cemetery in Sullivan County.
Margaret was born in Newtown, MO Sept. 5, 1915, the daughter of George Bailey and May Boyd Bailey. She married Ova Paul Earles in Newtown, April 13, 1931. Margaret was a homemaker who also worked outside the home. She did farm work and enjoyed driving the tractor; she had worked at McGraw Edison in Boonville and at the Hawthorn Plant in Glasgow. She enjoyed garage sales, stock car races on the local circuit; Marshall, Sedalia, Moberly and even into Iowa.
Mrs. Earles was preceded in death by her husband; a daughter, Betty Doyle her daughter-in-law, Bernadette Wessing Earles and a son-in-law, Junior Lynn, as well as four brothers and two sisters. She is survived by two sons, Paul Earles [Joyce] of Liberty, MO, Donald Clifford Earles of Excelsior Springs, MO and three daughters; Anna Lynn of Rockaway Beach, MO. Zella Earles of Armstrong, and Zelta Jones [Raymond] of Glasgow, MO. Nineteen grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren also survive.
