Marvin A. Evans, 78, of Boonville, MO, passed away at University Medical Center on Thursday, June 25, 2015.

Funeral services for Marvin will be held at Santa Fe Trail Baptist Church at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 30 with pastor Ken Tounzin officiating. Family will receive friends from 10 o'clock until time of service. Burial will follow in Salt Fork Cemetery.
Marvin Allen Evans was born Oct. 14, 1936 in Greencastle, Ind. the son of Marvin Ishmo Evans and Hazel Spaulding Evans. He served his country for 20 years with the U.S. Air Force including time in Vietnam, and after his retirement he had worked with C C I Mining in Michigan for 18 years. He married Geraldine Niles April 26, 1975, in Gwinn, Mich. and they farmed in Michigan for 16 years, then moved to Missouri where they farmed for another 10 years until retirement. He was a member of the Santa Fe Trail Baptist Church. He was very much into antique tractors and engines and had an extensive collection. His farming background instilled in him a love of animals, particularly Belgian draft horses.
Marvin was preceded in death by a daughter, Jo Ann Weincek and a sister, Colleen Moore. He is survived by his wife, Geraldine, of the home, two sons, Glenn Allen Evans of Gwinn, Mich. and Marvin Donald Evans (Pam) of Champion, Mich. and by two daughters, Patsy (Lonnie) Tong of Ishpeming, Mich. and Pandora KayAnn (Doug) Hawn, of Missouri City, Texas as well as his sister, Wanda Evans of Flordia. His first wife, Tokiko Evans, of Gwinn, MI also survives. He also leaves behind six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be directed to the Santa Fe Trail Baptist Church.
